When We Lived Together
_When We Lived Together can be understood as an open urban landscape that can be explored, occupied and appropriated by its inhabitants as well as its surrounding community: both a metaphorical and literal playground for affordable, innovative, and inclusive family living that ultimately supports parents and their kids to seek opportunities towards a better dwelling, educational and vocational future.
When We Lived Together is
a limited equity housing co-operative that accommodates highly needed
dwelling space for a diverse range of family structures. Placed on
Vermont Avenue right across USC, the co-op aims to provide highly needed
affordable housing units for the neighborhood’s community. The project
creates a microcosm of different dwelling setups paired with a variety
of programs and spaces aimed at families in general, and kids in
particular.
